Kids Korps USA Joins Relief
Efforts for Fire Victims

This has been a trying time for all of San Diego County. Hundreds of thousands of people have been and continue to be displaced by the fires, and many others have been impacted and will continue to feel the effects of this past week.

In light of these events, Kids Korps is activating emergency response projects in coordination with our community partners.

Kids Korps can only respond to our recipients' needs with your financial support. We are asking you to please make a financial contribution in support of the following relief and recovery programs:

• Purchasing and assembling toiletry kits for displaced men, women and children
• Assembling care packages and thank you cards for our firefighting heroes
• Planning Halloween parties and costume donations for child evacuees
• Assembling Thanksgiving care packages and gift cards for displaced families
• Assisting in reconstruction and revitalization efforts
• Targeting your neighborhood's needs and creating specific programs for those in need

While you are at home with family or friends, we ask you to begin writing thank you cards for our heroes: the firefighters, military, national guard and volunteers.

Also, keep in mind that along with this crisis, our traditional recipients still depend on us and your support. We have numerous projects this coming weekend with opportunities to get involved. The need is more urgent than ever.

Just some of the relief organizations that Kids Korps supports include: San Diego Food Bank, North County Food Bank, Angel’s Depot, Bread of Life, St. Vincent de Paul, San Diego Rescue Mission, Interfaith Community Services, Salvation Army, Catholic Charities, Encinitas Community Resource Center, Habitat For Humanity, Senior Community Center, Helen Woodward Animal Center, San Diego Humane Society.

Kids Korps USA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit youth volunteer organization that engages young people, ages 5 through 18, in community service.
